These
are the definitive rankings of the world’s largest law firms.
The American Lawyer compiles the charts in cooperation with The
Lawyer in London. Revenue for Australian law firms is from The Australian
Financial Review, and Canadian firms are surveyed by The
American Lawyer. There are two main lists – the 100 largest
firms, based on gross revenue in the most recent fiscal year, and
the 100 largest firms, based on total number of lawyers. This year
of 113 firms made one or both lists, and those firms were then ranked
on a third list, the 100 largest firms based on Profits Per Equity
Partner.
